the Zumo XT and the Nav series draw less than .5 amps when running. The Zumo XT2 draws 1.5 amps at full brightness on a dead battery (per Garmin's site) The Zumo XT2 also uses a different wiring configuration. The XT had a 12v to 5v DC-DC converter in line and supplies 5VDC to the zumo pins.
